I need UTAU help!

Okay, I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I did not see a specific forum for this topic. I'm new here so don't yell at me. ;_;

I converted a VSQ to a UST and when I tried to render it to a .WAV file, it says 'Failed to generate wav file. Please check the settings'
What should I do?

Also, I want to distribute my UTAUloid's voicebank but I don't know if the oto.ini settings are automatically saved to the voice file or do I have to save them to the voice file myself?

If anyone can help, please reply. Thank you.

Anyways, can you maybe screenshot the Project Properties box? Or at least tell us if any text is red? That means something is incorrect and you need to fix that info.

When you edit the oto all you need to do is hit OK when closing out of it and it will save it - hitting Cancel deletes everything you just did. So it should be automatic, though you can always open an oto in Notepad and edit some of it by hand if you want, though you shouldn't with the number values.

I guess I should have gave more details.
I have all the necessary sounds in my voicebank and I can play it and it sounds fine. Also, she has been oto'd. I just don't understand why it won't render.

Go to Project > Project Property. I'm just asking this to make sure. No red text, right? Tool 1 is wavtool.exe and Tool 2 is either resampler.exe or another one right?

Anyways, I don't think the exclamations can cause a UST to not render, but do you have any yellow flags around the UST? Did you adjust the UST to your UTAU? I doubt that's it anyways.

Only other thing I can think of, save the UST first? That might be it. Actually, you said you converted it from a VSQ...that's what it probably is.

Can you play all of it in small segments one at a time?
if you can't, that might narrow it down to where the issue is. If it quits out while you're playing a small segment, check your oto for those files for anything that might cause it to glitch out.

Your UTAU may be oto'd but is it aliased? If it isn't aliased and the notes in the ust are in a different language that might be the problem.

Also does this occur when using other UTAUs? Make sure that UTAU is aliased too.

Can you play the notes within the UTAU program just by selecting and pressing the play button? If so you can save the generated file by going to Play>Save Last Play as opposed to Rendering the wav file.

Yes my UTAU is aliased. No I have not tried it with any other UTAUs because I don't think the ones I have are aliased. I know Defoko isn't and the only other one I have is female Ruko Yokune who is only aliased in hiragana. The UST is in romaji.

I can select all the notes and play every single one of them and every sound comes out and I can select a small section and play it without problems.

Can you select all and then play it? If so, go to Play>Save last play after selecting all and playing the whole thing. o vob

...Tell, me, did you include rests in that first test I asked of you? It's potentially a glitchy rest, as well...
Also, try with a different resampler, if you haven't already.

Yes I did. Maybe it is glitchy. Should I delete the rest it then?

I've tried it before with both resampler.dll and resampler.exe. Should I maybe download another one and try it?

Try fresamp and TIPS. They're good alternatives and often provide better results than resampler.exe.
Also, perhaps deleting the first rest might help... I dunno, it's only ever done something like this once for me and that's because of a tempo issue so I'm unsure if this will help.
