Not sure if someone had post something like this, since I couldn't find any related posts on the matter.
I only got a English windows version, but the error concept is still similar.
I'm not 100% why it does this in the English version (at least I assume it only happens on the English UTAU program) but I attempt to look into it more since this happened to me twice and really is not funny anymore >:T
[scenario]
Last night I was working on two covers and I found out that eventually 'i' and 'n' for any and all usts/vsqs are completely silent. I tried deleting the all the render files (.pmk, .frq etc) and still doesn't work. tried re-installing it sorta works only caused even the default resampler to go all funky completely.
[main symptom for this fix]
some characters not playing at all for all usts. Other characters works perfectly.
[fixes I have attempt to fix my problems]: (i'm on windows 7)
I tried a number of ways, some help in different ways.
first and foremost try attempt to, in UTAU,
1) go to tool->bank settings.
2) delete ALL the render files. (to force UTAU to re-do resampler files)
2) go to the silent syllables/romanji character, double click on it to see if the wave file for it is still there.
->if so, clearly it means obviously if the file is not there, the character won't play.
->if not, open up the oto for that character, record/remember where all the lines and colours are, close that editor window/box, make sure to still have highlight that silent character and hit clear on the right side. Redo the oto for it. Works on my UTAU. ^^
if the above method alone doesn't work......
-control panel->clock Language and region-> change the date, time or number format-> additional settings-> reset.
-you may want to try re-installing UTAU. Restart at prompt.
-reload you VB into the new UTAU program.
-follow the main fix step above.
Should work at this point, though I would say not a guaranteed fix. It is indeed quite a weird problem where the oto stuffs up for no apparent reason. I suspected when I tried forcing my TIPS resampler (or any resampler for that matter) it caused the hiccup.....
lemme know if this worked for you or got any questions. Sorry if my terminology is wrong since I only got UTAU 2 weeks ago.
Anyways can't wait to hear everybody's work! ^^ v
