Microphone *Not* really a problem

So i just got my first condenser microphone for recording vocals. I dont know much about recording things, but the recording is not really that good quality even tho i bought it for like 17$... can anyone help me :c

Is this an XLR or a USB microphone? An XLR microphone at that price point may not be that bad if you're plugging it into a high quality audio interface, but in general I wouldn't expect much from a mic that cheap.

I'm just assuming you're going USB and bought it new, not used. First way to make the mic sound better is to turn off audio enhancements on Windows (you can look up a tutorial on that).

I'm just warning you though, a 17 dollar USB mic won't sound like an SM58 or a RODE NT. If you want to get a pretty great mic for cheap, look on Ebay. I have a Samson C01u and am pretty happy with it.
