Well it's not unusual to alter designs or completely scrap a design to try and perfect a design. Even if it's a slight alteration of how ones front hair is placed could easily change. Like for myself I'll keep drawing a character that I thought was finished but by the fourth doodle I've altered quite a bit to make it a lot easier for myself to draw.
