Oremo recordings include guideBG ?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying out Oremo for the first time to trial recording a VCV bank. So far I feel I've worked out the program pretty well and configured things as they need to be. However, for some reason, the guideBG piano is included on the recordings I have taken?

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is it something in the settings I need to adjust? I think it may be an issue with the headset but I'm not sure. For ref I am currently using an old beat up pair of beats but I intend to invest in a good mic to do this, I just wanted to make sure everything is working and ok before I spend money.

Thanks

maybe the guideBGM music is leaking out from your headphones and getting picked up by the mic at the same time?

That’s probably the issue. Try turning the volume down a lot.
The bgmusic is louder than my voice and is the exact same as on the file, no bg hiss or anything. That was my first thought but it is definitely an issue with the program imo.

Might just be an issue with oremo's audio I/O (input/output) settings. Personally, I use a gaming headset to record and have my input/output settings as "wave mapper." You might have to adjust for yours.

get a mic with noise cancelling. Works for me.
Noise cancelling tends to screw with audio quality more then it does help. I wouldn’t recommend any noise cancelling except for in very careful amounts during post-processing.

I have downloaded recstar as it seems to work with Mac (which is what my main computer is). I'll see how I get on with that!
