RENTAN method?

I've heard about this method but I'm not sure how it works, or what does it do. Could somebody here tell me info about it? :D
It's like making a VCV or a CV VC with a CV at the same time (via oto.ini) or something like that? >.< Sorry for being ignorant but I'm really curious xDDD

Basically it's CV recorded in strings. Here's a rentan reclist you could look at.

It's OTO'd like you would add CV OTOs to a VCV bank. I'm..not sure what it's more like. Recording style is more like CVVC but the OTOing is more like VCV, but it's not because you don't go into the sounds around it >.>

And as a bonus, you can add some super-LITE VCV or CVVC to the bank because of the string recording.

Recording-wise it seems more efficient but there seems to be no major benefit. If you see LITE features as a benefit, I hear that CVVC's are not too complicated and still smoother than CV. Even then CV can still sound good.
