Resampler issues

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I'm new to utau and I've been having this issue from day 1.

95% of the time I go to render a wav, I get the following error:

I usually just click the X and have it continue, but that often results in the overall wav coming out with issues: sounds come out missing, shortened, etc. and I never come out with a decent file. I know this is partially an oto.ini issue, and I'm fixing it. Everything's aliased, frequencied, the red and green lines are fine and I don't get any dialogue boxes about preutterance, etc. when I open my utau's vb. I pretty much only have to fine tune the pink highlights. All my samples are 3-6 seconds long.

Now, if I press the "Close Program" box, I wind up with...

This problem also persists in just rendering a handful of notes to play in utau. I've tried different resamplers, patched resamplers, using the default, using resampler.dll. Nothing works and this error comes up for everything (or if it doesn't come up, then the resampler [that's not the default or patched 1.4] makes my utau sound horrid) I try. Is this a problem with utau, the resamplers, or is it just not compatible with my computer?

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1; 3.00GB of RAM (2.75 usable); CPU is 32 and 64 bit capable (I generally use 32 bit Windows since I haven't added more RAM; no need to address more than 4G:shades:; Sound drivers are Realtek HD audio (2008; I can't update without it causing issues for ASIO4all which is needed for my DAWs).

Should I try looking for other resamplers (I have fresamps, TIPS, phavoco, resampler, resampler patched with wrapper 1.4), using a different computer (all the laptops in my house run Windows 7), running everything in compatibility mode? What should I do? She's so close to being debutable...

Do you have any oto.ini errors? That will crash any given resampler.
Can you play a small section of notes, or one note at a time?
EDIT: Sorry, I'm in class so I skipped over the fact that you answered that. Just a sec.

(ignore the .dll part and the not using Japanese locale. Just follow the dot/comma change that is explained a bit later)

Please try this. Can't guarantee anything, but it's worth a try.

"failed to generate a wav file" means that you've closed the sample before it was done, and I've never had any tragic consequences from that message. The next time you run it you'll get the new sample you've told it to generate + everything it generated before you closed it. The next time you run it after that, it'll be fine.

Is this just your UTAU, or is it all UTAUs? And which version of UTAU did you generate your frequency maps with?

I found out the problem. It was the bit-rate I saved my samples in. I keep forgetting that utau's picky and wants the following specs: [16 bit, 44100, mono] cause I'm so used to saving in as high a quality as possible when I do normal non-utau related recording. It's easy to overlook when so many tutorials out there forget that particular tidbit as well and just say: save as wav.

I always forget it's an issue I'm sorry oh gosh *saves to log of things to check for*

Glad you figured it out, though!
