resampler/wavtool question

What's the difference between using the .exe and the .dll for the resampler? And what's wavtool vs wavtool2 do?

Dunno why I never asked about these before. Please & thanks for answers guys!

They are two different resamplers. Keep in mind that there are other resamplers that may very well be more suitable for your UTAU. (I think the .dll is the one you shouldn't use cuz it's buggy but don't take my word for it)

I'm not sure what specific differences there are between wavtool and wavtool2 but in this thread, it seems wavtool2 is required for masao's plugin: http://utaforum.net/index.php?topic=1667.0
Usually wavtool is the default.

Yeah, I've got TIPS and fresamp as well. I've just never been sure what the .dll was, but since they're both the default for the program, I wasn't sure if they were actually the same, or what (a dumb thing, but, I prefer the loading screen for the .dll one a lot more than the other resamplers).

I've never heard much about wavtool2, I wasn't even entirely aware of it until I saw it mentioned in another thread.

I've found what's in it to be quite useful in speeding things up

i'm having the same issue but with all the other resamplers (wavtool) not playint sound for denatsu sora's bloodmoon VB idk why its happening, but it is. only moresampler works.
