I'm finally to the part of otoing but I have NO idea how setparam works  All the tutorials out there on YouTube are outdated with an older version of setparam. Is there anyone who knows how to use 4.0 setparam or has a link to a tutorial? Help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Setparam has barely changed at all since very early versions. What features are you having trouble with?
Alternatively you could use VLabeler, though IDK about reliable video tutorials for that either.

Edit: to be clear with the first part of this reply, I mean I have used setparam for a decade and I think even I wouldn't be able to tell that the version in a tutorial was different from my updated version, and I confirmed that no core features or menus have changed too much since 2017 at the very least. Where in following the tutorial do you get stuck? Can you send a screenshot of the program, ideally at the point you get to if any?

Hello! Once again, thank you for helping me! I have trouble once I get to here.

I've figured out how to move the entire overlap, pre, and consonants, but I'm struggling with the "f" controls. I am on a Windows laptop and have never even used the "f" controls. I tried googling how to use them, but nothing helpful came up. Do you, by chance, know how to use them? I'll put the layout of my keyboard below. Again, thank you so much! I'd be genuinely lost without you.

On a mini/laptop keyboard like this, you use the f/function keys by holding down the fn key between your ctrl and windows icon key then press the corresponding key on the top row (see the very top left of each key on the top row). there may be a way on your specific laptop to make it so you dont have to hold fn to press the function keys but that part is up to you depending on whether you even like the shortcuts vs how much you use the default functions that are there.

You can always just use the mouse if you have to fwiw! The function keys are just convenient.
