Some help please?

So I've had UTAU on my computer for a while now, but something that has always bothered me was the fact that even though options were in english and everything. But when I open up a VCV voicebank labeled with hiragana, the samples show up as gibberish in both my library and in utau. When I try to play it, nothing happens. I'm hoping to work with VCV voicebanks soon, and I'm desperate to solve this issue.

I heard that I should uninstall and change locales then reinstall....?

A friend of mine has a similar issue.

I run utau on windows 7

Any help is much appreciated!!

You need to be in Japanese Locale at all times.
So yes, uninstall then re-install under JP locale. Additionally, you may have to unpackage the voice banks under JP locale also.

Forgive me if I sound stupid, which I probably do, but how do you uninstall UTAU?

...That's a good question, actually.
I'd go to Computer and press "Uninstall or Change a Program", and scroll until you see UTAU. It's in there, so I'd just use that (admittedly I've always just re-installed over the top of the existing install).
