I'm very new to this. The forum & UTAU. All i've done is install oremo, install UTAU, and make a (few) CV voicebank(s).
My first vb didn't sing any syllables, and everything sounded like harsh TV static. My second vb had the same issue, but I could hear "wa" in some notes.
I've heard that it's not good to record using a built-in mic, which is what I was doing. I got a USB mic that's outside my laptop, and made a new vb. About 25% of the notes sung are the actual syllables, ~25% are static-y but you can hear the syllables (they're very quiet), and the other 50% sounds like a mix of TV static and running water (and they're not as harsh as the first vb).
I have ruled out that it's not the ust I'm using, or the program, as I ran through the ust with the default vb and it sounded fine.
I don't have, nor really understand, how to use other audio programs, such as audacity. I don't know why some of the syllables, like "da" are static but other syllables like "ki" and "mo" I can hear. Help!
