UTAU-Synth is Going Crazy on Me

OK, So I am using UTAU-Synth for a cover. It renders fine the first time, plays, gets to the sound "mo" and then the program just crashes.

So I start the program back up, I get the whole "UTAU-Synth crashed, would you like to reload your project" window and I say yes.

Now, when I load the project, it looks like this-

And when I play it just a TV Static type sound comes out, then it stops and you are taken to some random place in the .UST. You can still interact with the program, but I'd like to know what's going on.

Thanks!

Something similar happens to me now and then, though not to that crazy extent, just pitchbends being no where near where I put them and flying across the screen.

If no one else has a concrete answer, it's probably just one of it's many, many bugs.

I think the crash is from UTAU-Synth not creating .spef for the voicebank fast enough to catch up with the UST. And as for that second problem, I would recommend just relaunching without recovering the project and opening the UST manually.

It probably is one of the bugs, I really wish they'd update the program. Also, this is a total noob question probably, but what exactly does the .spef do?

Thanks!

No idea, it seems to be something UTAU-Synth needs for voicebanks. Maybe it relates to its internal resampler or something.
