Tuning in the VOCALOID1 editor is pain in the butt, and I saw something saying VocaListener doesn't work with V1, so does anyone know of a program VOCALOID1 can support that does the same job as VocaListener?

Nope. Think about it, Vocalistner was only being tested in the V2 era and was only released at V3. V1 was much too new and had a short lifespan with bugs and not too much special about it since V2 is where the program exploded in popularity.
If you want to get dynamic vocals copying a singer, you'll have to do it in external programs like Vocashifter. Which can work out very well if you learn the program. A bummer that it's Japanese only though so it can be difficult.
