Hi everyone!
This is a question I've always had about voicebanks. Sometimes, you will find voice folders named "↑" and "↓" within a voicebank. What are these folders and what are they used for?
Thanks in advance

Can I ask you what is inside it? It's more wav files? The voicebank is multipitch?
I've seen those folders on Kasane Teto if I recall correctly. They contained wav files as if those were 2 more pitches

Arrows or exact pitch names (such as A3, D4, etc.) are used to differentiate samples recorded at different pitches. These multipitch voicebanks come with a prefix map file that will automatically apply suffixes to the correct notes when you're using it in UTAU, so you can simply use them the same as you would a single pitch voicebank and it will automatically choose the samples that will sound more natural for those notes.
