DO NOT WHISPER!! YES IT SOUNDS CREEPY BUT IN A BAD WAY!!

I'd try maybe recording with a very rounded voice? Like whenever you see cartoony ghost's they're all like "ooooOOOOOoooh"
Don't whisper, but try also making a whispy voice.... I might record a couple quick samples to show what I mean... or not... idk XD

While aggressive whispering would be better suited for a screamo bank, I'd recommend recording with a soft tone and being very close to the microphone. Gentle consonants and rounded vowels for the accent? I think a bigger factor is the design and your choice of songs.

Also a lot of reverb n maybe some chorus in mixing can create a ghostly effect...

oh n i just remembered lowering the middle frequencies in eq significantly or all the way down makes a hollow spooky tone

@oteto how DO you lower middles?? My dad's mentioned that before but idk how to do that... When I asked him he said he doesn't know how to do that with audacity/reaper/studio one....

I would guess maybe making the same line, but have it come in like 5 MS late, and have it at around 2 lower octaves, and have another playing behind that one at 2 higher octaves. It sounds trippy =P
