well, Japanese CV-VC is similar to english...somewhat
like if you wanted to say 'matte' in japanese
you would use 'ma' 'at' 'te'

CV-VC stands for Consonant Vowel-Vowel Consonant.
So, basically as insanemollum explained.
For example, kokoro would be ko-ok-o-ro.
As for how to use them, I actually haven't worked with one before, so I'm afraid I have no help to offer. Sorry!
But the concept of them seems fairly basic.
