Which resampler is good for genderbend UTAUloids?

I want to make Ted and Teto cover a song and I decided to start tuning Ted's part first, but I have a big problem. Ted's voice has different effects and problems when I use different resamplers, what more is that I'm switching from normal to Sakebi and later whisper (although I don't really have a problem with that XD), so it's not going very well
  • When I use the default resampler, he sounds okay but the quality isn't that great (which is so far the best option I have).
  • When I use bhk01 or TIPS, it cracks on some notes (especially the sakebi notes).
  • When I use EFB-GT, he sounds like Teto forcing herself to sing really low notes.
  • When I use fresamp, the quality is good, but he sometimes sounds too deep, cracks and distorts and the sakebi notes.
  • No way I'm using phavoco on a folk song :orly:
  • WARP won't well, it wheezes at high notes.

Those are the only resamplers I have, if there's a resampler that can specifically handle powerful genderbend notes, I won't mind using it.

I think in the end what you use depends on you?? It all depends on what sound you want him to have. Like you've listed each resampler has different effects on voices.

Also, your resampler is only part of the battle. Mixing can also help with getting a certain sound out of a voice.

Since I have no idea how you want him to sound or what you're going for all I can suggest is that you visit this thread and try out more resamplers if you can: http://utaforum.net/thread-utau-resampler-directory

Also I feel like with genderbends a lot of the time the quality is only going to be so good before things get weird or difficult ;; Vipperloid or no since you're not using the original voicebank as it's meant to be used or in it's original sound. And whatever problems the original bank has(so Teto in this case)the genderbend is going to have.

I tried fresamp and messed with the flags and the quality became much better! It sounds a bit hoarse, but I can fix that with equalization.

I guess you're right; I just needed to screw around with flags

Oh well, I'm half way done with Ted's part now :sing:
