Why won't Ritsu sing?

I downloaded Ritsu, both his regular and Kire VBs, but he won't sing. Teto is singing just fine, so why won't Ritsu sing? Thank you.

Have you used VCV Teto, or are you familiar with using VCV voicebanks, or voicebanks with prefixmaps?

No, I'm sort of new with using UTAU. I download Teto's CV Voicebank first to practice with, and found she's pretty easy to work with. So I decided to download Ritsu's Kire VB. But when he wouldn't sing, I thought, "Maybe I need to download his regular VB first," but it still doesn't work when I did. Do I need to extract him first? I didn't need to do that with Teto though.

I know his Kire voicebank only works with VCV, so it won't sing CV USTs. But when you say "regular voicebank", do you mean his regular CV or VCV voicebank? There's a difference - an important difference.

CV and VCV are very different, do you know this? Teto CV doesn't work the same as Ritsu Kire, which is VCV.

Also I must confess I have downloaded Ritsu so long ago i don't know anymore if you should extract him or not. If you mean 'pull him out of the .rar or whatever file' than the answer is most probably yes.

I know it was his CV voicebank first, but even that didn't work. Sorry should have been more clear. And I wasn't using a UST yet because I was just practicing so I could get the hang of it. Did that have something to so with it? Teto was singing without a UST. Like I said it was Ritsu's CV after I downloaded his Kire. Neither of them will work. It's not only frustrating, but sort of depressing too because I've been wanting his Kire VB for so freaking long.

Oh! I forgot to mention, if I click on his samples, he sings them, but when I type them in he refuses. Didn't know if that would be important to mention or not. Also I know there is a difference between VCV and CV. I know I'm new with using them, but I've been listening to them for over a year now and have researched them endlessly because I've wanted to use them for a while.

Edit: OMG I just went back to the download site and saw I accidentally downloaded the VCV instead of the CV. The VCV was the first one and I must have accidentally clicked on that instead of the CV one. That explains a lot. e.e But still, it doesn't explain why his Kire VB isn't working correctly, which I know I was using correctly. Like I said, I researched it all endlessly, especially the difference between VCV and CV. ;-;

Uh... You familiar with multipitch and prefix maps? I'm not sure if that causes problems or anything.

Just make sure you're typing in "- あ", "a あ" and the like for Kire, or using a VCV plugin.
