Hey guys so some of you might know me or might know me but I am always willing to give advice where I can! so I thought that I would use this thread as a way to give a hand to those who are scratching thier head (I threw it into utau discussion because I don't know where to put this *scratches head*)
Anyway a brief introduction about myself and what I've done up to this date. I'm bodytemp-P/Hixai-U but for formalities sake feel free to call me Kat as that is what I go by most of the time these days. I started off in the JP Vocaloid fandom a very very long time ago 2007-2008. At that point I was living in Hiiro JP (north Tokyo Shibuya-ka district) studying school (for the record I am fluent). I grew up in a very technology rich family computers were always there I even used to use dial up (google the sound its my childhood haha) I started building my own PC's at 5 years old with the help of my father. To date I have never really had a store bought desktop in my possession. Both my mother and father worked in music, gaming and now have retired to doing government work (rip).
I knew about UTAU from about 2012 but actually didn't start making my own (used ritsu and defoko and Teto before this) until end of 2012. Since then I have made my own plugins, banks and a couple of things here and there.
Music wise I have studied my PhD in Musicology and my thesis was about synthesis. My bachelor and masters were studied at AIM in Sydney Australia my PhD was studied at ANU in Canberra Australia. My major was audio engineering. I have tons of experience with music software, microphones and such.
Art wise I have been drawing for a very long time and have personally worked on AAA games since 2013 as a 3D environmental artist. I did only one year of study in games at AIE in Canberra Australia before I decided to do a summer course with a Canadian school and ended up with a job there. I have about 15 years experience with Adobe software and around 5 years with zbrush Maya and Max.
(edit: forgot singing exp) I have been singing pretty much my whole life. Not formally trained by others but have dont a couple of lessons here and there I have performed in choirs and opera's before on big stages and have won numerous Karaoke and singing competitions (4 time winner at animanga Im actually not allowed to compete anymore) I have a record contract for my voice and I am currently in the middle of creating an album (try owning a studio and having a contract with another company its pretty much a conflict of interest at this point ^_^'')
Currently I run a music studio here in Canberra that specialises in recording and software engineering. We are currently working on something special.
Well guys that is a pretty long thing about me ask me anything. Whether it be how do art or how do music? I'm more than happy to help anyone!
