What messes up your recordings?

Just curious. What messes up your recordings or ruins your mood? I have a very rare chance to record. I record at night when everyone is sleep so I go to the front of the house to record. If my brothers are in front, I cannot record but if I'm there by myself I can. I usually record within the hours of 1-3 am.. After 3 am. I'll be too bored. I can get two voicebanks down or 3 in that timeframe. Usually what messes up my recordings is for one people walking back and forth and kittens. I've recorded voices and the kittens knocked down some stuff and it ruined my recordings. Many times I had to redo it to the point where I just held them and made them go to sleep XD. Another issue is of course other animals. Dogs...the door opening and the microphone picks it up. Me accidentally touching the microphone or moving things. I do watch tv when recording and it doesn't pick up but everything else does and it ruins the most perfect recordings. Anyways what messes up your recordings? People, voice cracking? Street noise? I'm curious

Anywhere in my town loud trains can be heard at night and in the early morning. My only real chance to record is at night because I live with 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a bird. But then at night apparently I live with trains. Boo. I always have to check each recording and re record if something is wrong.

I struggle a lot with higher pitches too, so when I record them I generally spend 5 or 6 tries on one line. Also boo.

i usually won't record loud voices because neighbors or relatives, but that leads to the normal voice more likely to pick up drunken neighbors out side >__< a few times to avoid noise, the use of recording behind a bed mattress significantly helped. also have to avoid hours with high traffic because of a highway. from there on I have to hope oremo doesn't glitch in the middle of a recording and shorten in the middle or beginning of a syllable

I'm right by an army base AND an airport. I can quite literally see both of them clearly from my window. So if the Army base is having a drill or something, i get all the sirens, all the mock gunshots, all the mock explosions, etc. And living near an airport, you can guess what stops me from recording. nnnnNNNNNNOOOMMMMMMMMmmmmmm and the Yeti is sensitive, so it picks up everything. If its not those two, its owls. If its not owls if my family. So the times where I CAN record are hard to find and when i actually can, im hella proud of the voicebank.

Night time=Best time to record lol. Animals always ruin recordings but I'm glad you have a way to work around!

my voice always cracks and can barely stay steady for え , as well forwhatever reason i always have issues with the files and them getting corrupted, or messed up or ruined where no matter how hard you oto it is static, and or gargling, it usually messes up on all with あ、わ、は、な、た、か、が、て、で、え、 and it's not my recording, or the voicer, everything is right, but i guess it's just my misfortune, XD lol

I don't have access to a mic full time, and am working nights . I can sometimes borrow microphones, but would have to record early in the morning after work . Super quietly . My mellow dog will try to sing along otherwise .

Usually its either my dog scratching herself or the upstairs neighbors who like to parade elephants back and forth across their apartment. (or that's what i swear it sounds like anyways)

Idk why buy I laughed harder than I should at the elephant part XD. Yeah that definitely sounds like a pain especially with a sensitive mic
