Your opinion on furry/anthro UTAUs?

I have been asking myself for a while what does the UTAU Fandom think about furry UTAUs. So, it would be really nice to know your opinion.

Also, please, don't start a fight. We all have our own opinions and they should be respected. (I write this knowing the hate this fandom has because of reasons and...well, you know. Not everybody is the same.)

In my opinion, I don't think they are a problem. They are OCs, UTAUs, people's characters, just like the average ones. We all know that this fandom has a lot of hate because of a percent of it. Just- not everybody is the same. I'm working on a furry female UTAU myself, we can say I'm somewhat a furry, and hey, if you like furry NSFW stuff it's ok but just DON'T show it to me. Keep it to yourself.

Anyway, the design of the character (and its species) matter, but the important thing is their voice, right? So it's not that big of a deal for me.


(also, I've been thinking on making a thread about people opinions on the Miku formula well applied to UTAU designs and MACloids based UTAUs, would it be ok?)

If small parts of anthropomorphism (nekomimi, usamimi, wolf tails, etc.) then I'm okay with them but it's complete furries and stuff... They remind me of my weeaboo days so I just ignore them.

holy flip like the japanese fandom, if you find a furry UTAU it will be amazing.
overseas isn't a guarantee, but furry utaus tend to be really good

im pretty indifferent :'D tbh , i dont mind furry/anthro utauloids at all a few of my top favorite utauloids are furry/anthros lol

I think furry UTAU designs are just another unique way of designing a character.
I love things that stray from the mainstream as far as UTAU designs go. Whether it's a unique skin colour, interesting body type, etc etc. <3

It's a person's individual choice what they make their utau's avatar look like. Heck, I myself am making a series of utaus that'll have some antro qualities (just ears, tails, and non-human eye colors). So long as the design is presentable, I'm a-okay with furries - no matter the degree. They could be full on animals without any human characteristics for all I care.

It's not my thing but I don't hate them. I guess my point of view in this matter can be defined as neutral.

I admit Speedy Torane is awesome but I doubt my opinion would change if his looks would have been different.

I don't mind them, and to be honest, I like them because they recall me so much of most of cartoons' protagonists being anthropomorphic animals <3 Plus, a few of my fave UTAUs ever are furries or are close to them (Speedy, SPIKE, Jinx Nyota, Shin, Rook -I count him as he can turn into a dog- and others)

And about the animal features on a human matter, I also enjoy cat/dog ears, wings, but more especially, fishtail because I love mermaids legends *ç* *has mermaids UTAUs even if she couldn't provide so far any "mermaid form"-featured drawing*


[Finally, I'd say go ahead for Miku formula and fanmade Macnes only if you feel like it, and to be careful it doesn't turn into a drama x_x"' Because I know people have been pretty sensitive about those, especially the Miku formula...]

I love furries >w< Anthro even more maybe. (do Yagi's horns count?)
People have to be careful though, cause a lot has been done already. Like cat ears, wings etc.

I'm pretty neutral about them. They're just not my thing.
I must confess that when people draw them with let's say bulging muscles or large breasts that it freaks me out some, sorry ;;

You might be surprised how many furrys are in the VocaUTAU fandom. I definitely was lol... I think UTAU is a great way to give an OC of yours a singing voice

I dont mind them on principle, but it seems like the majority have crypton designs, and generally look really boring and uninspired. Also >muscles

Idk I like furry utaus I even have a bunch of favourites, too bad I can't really draw them so I'm just standing here sobbing.

Design-wise I'm a-kay with them, I love them, but I noticed a lot of male animaloids have unnaturally deep voices and I don't understand why? I can't make them sound good in my usage so I can't use them, haha... But some have beautiful voices, so beautiful I wanna cry /strokes av of my rabbit husband

I don't mind people with cat ears or dog ears or animal body parts. I'm not real big on furries though...IDK why. No offense to anyone who like furries, I just don't. Maybe it's the singing factor. UTAUs are made to sing. Singing animals comes off as a little strange. And I agree with @moonst4r, when they're drawn with like a lot of muscles or boobage, it kinda disturbs me. I like the uniqueness of people making their UTAUs animals though.

I really love some furry utaus, but when their designs become overly sexualized, its a bit off putting//orz But I think many of them are unique and have amazing voices. My favs are ikuto waon, akagami hiro, and laru ofcourse.

I like anthros but nearly all of the fur Utaus are canids and that's boring. And they're mostly dudes which is also boring. Be less boring.

I'm half and half...

I thing the furry muscular male utau thing is getting ridiculous...

But they are fine as long as the design is original and there are not 24 thousand foxes or something.

I do lose respect for the User/creator of that utau as soon as I find it getting rustled on a different site though...
