  • I saw the Apollo Megumi wiki as SaKe said, and I must say it's kind of funny to see how the rest of the wikis use formal words like "R-18 content is allowed except for: ..." and in Apollo Megumi it says "**** THE PROSHIPPERSSSS" (I'm not in favor of proshippers), I don't know how seriously they take the UTAU Wiki, but I'm sure they won't get to the UTAU Repository if they don't write their information seriously.

I'm assuming his VP by R-18 content meant just sexually suggestive content, not straight up R-18. There's a pretty strong difference- I'd be OK with someone using PIERO to cover Rabbit Hole (teenagers sing suggestive songs all the time, look at my friends).
There's too much of a stigma that suggestive = R-18 in this community.
But that is a big slip-up to make though haha

If your favorite VOCALOID is Miku or you are very new to the fandom, or you are dangerously addicted to VOCALOID, or you are a suck3r for Crypton Future Media who turns a blind eye to the horrible company that it is.

Miku Expos are still very big, so it’s a no-brainer someone’s going to faint. Go to a single non-Vocaloid concert of the same size and people are- guess what- fainting.

Yes, you're partly right, but we also have the issue of the LED screen (it was advertised as a Hologram) and the merch that looked like paper because it was so poorly made.
    SaKe
    SaKe
But the concert was still held and was still fully functional. Calling it a scam over no holograms (that shit’s expensive, so they use plexiglass and project on it, so it’s pretty much a hologram) and cheap merch undermines actual scams like the Fyre Festival, which didn’t happen and didn’t even deliver anything in the name lol
I've been thinking about selling the Shiroanne VCCV I'm developing and donating the money to an animal protection association.

Would people purchase it? Is it worth more than AERIS or any other high-quality English bank?

I would ask for 3 dollars, not much, the buyer can contribute more if they want. Here in Argentina, with 3 dollars you can buy a kilo of cat food. Here in Argentina, each purchase would be a package of food, and a photo would be sent to the buyer showing the food package delivered to the organization.
I'm thinking about putting Shiroanne on a site that allows me to "Set Your Price," making it free for those who want it, but also allowing me to support myself financially (especially with large banks).

Booth allows you to do it and Bandcamp also does, but the former would require you to have a PayPal account to convert to your local currency.
What format is your 18-pitch multiexpression voicebank going to be in?

23 pitches? Of VCCV? You were right on saying you were a masochist... I hope you can finish this voicebank! I think it would sound great and be quite impressive!

I want to give Shiroanne at least 100 voicebanks before entering college (I have two and a half years left, I'm in my first year of high school)

Wow. 100 voicebanks? That's alot. Iris only has 23 voicebanks made over a range of 2 & 1/2 years. Maybe you can beat my record. Good luck.
random UTAU fact: UTAU also accepts .ogg format, and some voicebanks use .ogg for LITE version, bc is more light and are smaller files, anyways, .ogg voicebanks are rare

I didn't know UTAU also accepts .ogg files, because the only UTAU I know that uses .ogg files, Issac E. Altermond, has a .wav to .ogg converter program in the voicebank.
I might consider that for a lighter version of my 9-pitch voicebank!

There's also a resampler that supports mp3 files, doppeltler.

Yes, although the problem is that many people ignore the recommended resampler and use the resampler they like.
The day a dubbing student told me "what a shame that such a cute character has such a shitty voicebank, you have shitty diction, declining audio quality, and it's a more than mediocre voicebank, throw away that half-finished bank, and I'll teach you how not to screw up next time :3" was the best day of my life

I'd like to hear that person's voicebank, then. I would say it's the pot calling the kettle black but it's likely closer to the pot calling the sheet of unprinted computer paper black.

Well, this was said between humor and reality, and I say it in summary, and I really believe that this was the most beautiful thing that was said to me because after that he gave me part of the documents from his dubbing university, also, wey fluye (I take rude criticism very well as long as it is constructive)

What voicebank of yours was he referring to?
I can't describe the look of astonishment on my face when I saw one of my friends (who is going to be a voice provider for two UTAUs in my project) manage to growl as if it were nothing (he took singing lessons).

I once did an absolutely beautiful trilled R when I was singing and have never been able to replicate it since...

I swear there are times where I've sounded peak while singing and could never do it again
I hardly ever hit F5s and in the last 2 or 3 days I've sung it like nothing
I probably will never be able to again
