  • I was thinking about recording an utau voicebank, even commissioned art for the voicebank, but have quickly learnt about my impatience and inability to even record a monopitch cv voicebank... So, y'all are gonna get a fanloid instead!
Thinking about how everyone was making a big deal about DeepVocal when it released, but now I see nothing about it

I feel like it *could* have been the new utau if it received some more updates, but it seems like an abandoned project. If the audio quality was brought up further and vcv style voicebanks were allowed, maybe even support for English, it could have been great, but ultimately now whenever I listen to it, it just sounds like UTAU NT
Does Moresampler hurt anyone else's ears? People always praise it as like the best resampler but I rarely ever use it because of how bad it sounds to me

like with all resamplers, it depends on the voice you're using. some voices sound immaculate with moresampler, others... really don't play nice with it for one reason or another. though i'll also say if you're sensitive to certain mid to high-range frequencies that could be contributing to why moresampler hurts your ears :0c

I know, but that's the thing: I have yet to find an utau in which moresampler is the best option. Everything sounds better with say f2resamp, tips, doppeltler or sometimes even the default resampler. Moresampler just makes everything I've ever used just sound less open and a bit muted and overall worse

i see, i see. i guess it comes down to personal preference, then. i've never had any issues aside from certain voices being too treble heavy and destroying me lol
