AviUtl cannot open audio

Hi there! I've been trying to test out AviUtl by making an edit. When I import the audio the program kept showing an error that says "Failed to read the audio file. There is a possiblity that the format is not supported". The audio I used was converted from YouTube using a converting website so I've figured that might be the problem? Is there any way to fix it? I used .wav but have tried other supported file types but the error still shows up.

Did you ever solve this? I'm having the same problem and I've tried WAV, MP3, M2P, and WMV all with the same dumb error message, even though I've opened audio files hundreds of times in the past.
