Configuration Advice Needed!

Hello all!

I'm working on configuring 26's newest bank(s) for OpenUtau, and I'm having a bit of trouble understanding how to switch between the "Voice Colors".

As I understand it, you have to configure separate prefix.map files inside of the bank (already completed for the expressions), and then add them into the software using the "Edit Subbanks" tab inside the singer editor. (Also completed)

My confusion comes from trying to switch between these voice colors....

In UTAU, if you want to use a "soft" bank, you just load up the .ust, and add the proper flags to the end of the notes, and it appears you can do this in OpenUtau as well, but if the configuration for the voice colors is there, why bother configuring the colors in the first place if you're just gonna have to use it like normal UTAU?

There is probably a really amazing resource out there in the universe somewhere with all of these answers I haven't been able to find yet, but any advice is welcome.

Update:

After starting to use the Voice Color settings, the phonemizers are no longer working properly.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take a picture of the beforehand, but the only setting I changed was with the Voice Color Configuration.

NOW though, both the EN ARPA and EN ARPA+ are not properly subdividing the lyrics up.

Any insight onto why this is suddenly occurring?

Is the C3 pitch fully completed? Additionally, maybe show the subbank config window for this Color in case something went wrong with the setup there

All STRAIGHT & SOFT pitches are completely recorded, mostly oto'd, here's the subbank window:



The gaps are an odd phenomenon to me; even when initializing the bank from scratch and re-doing the coloration (is that what you call it??) they reappear upon save & reload.
I've cleared the cache (2 gigs of data oop), and the problem didn't solve either.

Honestly it's probably something SUPER obvious, I'm just an old-school utau girlie trying to make the shift into OpenUtau lol

went ahead and re-mapped everything, seems to be working fine?

No idea what fixed it, but I'm not gonna ask questions.
I removed some pitches of breaths because they were redundant, maybe that's what it was?

Hm, this bank is so large its kind of difficult to be sure about some aspects. Is there a chance I can get a temporary copy to try and reproduce this error and find any underlying issue? If not (which I'd understand) Maybe screenshot the entire piano roll with the piano sidebar & color names visible, and the default/nameless subbank settings (where you input the suffixes), as well as grab me a recent log from Help > Open Logs Location. It will have your PC username in it so redact before sending if necessary!
