CV to VCV manually

So, I found a CV to VCV plugin. Yay.

Except I can't copy it into the plugins folder because I don't have admin privileges (only my dad does). Boo.

So, with the newest version of UTAU: How to I convert CV usts to VCV usts WITHOUT the use of a plugin? (If worse comes to worse, I could ask my dad to let me copy the files.)

You can either A) Buy UTAU (shareware version), as that has the feature built in, among other useful and nifty things or :shades: ask your dad for permission.
Sorry, not much choice I guess, haha.

I was afraid that he answer would be something along that line...

Super-dad to the rescue, then.

There is also the long and boring way to do it:
Say you had a CV ust that said 'ka ke ko ki ku'
You would rename 'ka' as '- ka', 'ke' as 'a ke' 'ko' as 'e ko' 'ki' as 'o ki' and 'ku' as 'i ku'

That's called Romaji VCV. It's very incredibly impractical, takes extra time, and there are no USTs in Romaji VCV. No one releases banks in Romaji VCV either - I had a friend who did it for a little bit and only because she wasn't allowed to get Japanese locale.

but there is technically a converter for romaji cv > romaji vcv
I just really want to discourage Romaji VCV, takes up time and effort with less returns.
Asking your parents can't be that bad. I too had moody parents who reacted very, very poorly whenever I wanted them to authorize something on the computer, but I still asked them eventually because I just wanted it to get done. It won't be that bad.
And getting Japanese VCV done will let you release your bank in that format and also there are plenty of Japanese VCV USTs out (and a great converter for CV > VCV and if the UST is in romaji you can first convert it to hiragana with the Romaji > Hiragana converter).
