Do you need a Kangi alias for Romaji ust?

My voice bank Romaji encoded (but the files are in English) do I need the regular Romaji as an alias for it to work for Romaji usts that use Kangi?  Or can I just have the files alias in Hiragana?

I-I do hope you mean kanji...

If your samples are romaji encoded (a, ba, be, bi, etc.), then hiragana aliases would be just fine. All Japanese USTs are hiragana encoded anyway ^^
