Drawing Notes Glitch?

I'm trying to draw a note in a certain spot, but every time I try to, a glitch happens where the note gets drawn at the beginning of the song, instead of where it should be! How do I fix this?

UTAU has rest notes, you cannot just draw anywhere. If you would prefer this feature you can use OpenUtau instead (It's much more efficient), but the Classic UTAU experience is that you need to manually input rests up until the note you want to draw.

No, I mean like, it won't let me draw a note in the right place. For example, if I want to draw a "ま" note, it doesn't go in the right place, even if I select where I want it it to go. It just goes ALL the way to the beginning of the song I want to cover, and extends itself to the place where I clicked.
