Dzi, dzo, dza

Hi, I'm new here,

I'm having trouble with the re-naming of my VCV wav files. I downloaded a copy of Namine Ritsu's reclist to use as a guide... it's in romaji because I'm not fluent in Japanese (I can recognize a few characters at most). In order to get them to work with OTO I have, they need to be in Hiragana.

The issue I am having is with dzi, dzo, dza, ect.. I know about づ (that you type 'du' instead of 'dzu'), but I've done a Google search and I can't find anything on how I should type them into IME.

Also, I'm not sure if I've been pronouncing them properly, but that's another matter entirely.

Can anyone help?

As for pronunciation, just say them like z's. They're not ever used (as far as I know) so it's not that important.

I'd skip them and delete those otos. You will NEVER use them, so save yourself some time and effort. Also ZY_ and such are never used either (if I'm remembering Ritsu's list correctly). I've only seen KW_ used once, so it and GW_ are kinda useless and not needed. I actually have seen JY_ once or twice, but the alias...I have no clue. So it's up to you if you want to bother with those.

Well, thinking again, I can see a use for them if you do it 100% right.

Japanese Z is a bit different from English Z - our's is smooth, but their's kind of starts with a dZ sound. Kind of try and saying it yourself and putting a slight D in there. If you record the dZ set like that and the regular Zs more smoothly, I'd alias them just as the Z syllables with a 2 or a D at the end or even before. That's the only way I can see them being useful. Most banks just have one or the other, but both would maybe have an appeal.

I think I'm probably going to leave them in for completion's sake but now that I have the hiragana I can continue on with my renaming and stuff.
