haruka nana 2011 voicebank

hello everyone! i made an account specifically for this question, as its been seriously bugging me for the past few weeks haha.

is there a discontinued nana vb that was also made in 2011? ive seen so many covers where she sounds quite raspy (with no flags or anything, just her base voice), and ive downloaded (im pretty sure) all of her voicebanks from her official website, and none of them sound like that! i believe its a vcv but i could be wrong.

any help is appreciated! and please forgive me if im not posting this the right way or if my question is too vague. im new to both this forum and utau in general lol

Should also note that every Nana voicebank is on the website or on the utau wiki, and none have been discontinued as far as I can tell. It might just be from resampler choice

Oshamasan is sort of the closest to raspy or soft. You could probably stand to use flags to make it more obvious, and probably whatever cover you're thinking of might have done that. I don't believe that she has a discontinued VB either.

Oh, actually, now that I think about it, the covers might have just used older versions of the default UTAU resampler? The older versions are a lot more raspy than the modern version (and even then the modern version still is) (also this is why when you listen to super old teto songs she sounds like she's growling)

ah i see! yeah this person i talked to about their cover said they didnt use any special samplers or plugins. so there's really no way of having the same rasp since i dont have the older resampler?

Ameya actually has almost every resampler they ever made on the utau website

apparently, the new download has a completely different vb compared to her old download (wayback link because her old dl is now a 404). their otos are absolutely different (see below) with entirely different samples??? i dont make voicebanks personally myself, but if anyone does i'd love to see a breakdown of their differences.

anyways, just use wayback and choose any of the snapshots to get her old vb. her new dl doesn't even work on openutau (for me at least) lol.

from the looks of things, you're right. That is an entirely different vb. Maybe there were just two voicebanks made during that time and they only put one ip for dl?
I might make a quick showcase, stay tuned

Can you confirm that the old download isn't one of the VCV/連続音 vbs that are still up for download? I would make sure you have all of them then compare the samples to see if any match the "old dl"
Hm, or rather maybe it IS the missing VB. How do the vocals sound...? perhaps the one that was uploaded into the current site was the first one ever recorded (which is why it might be 2mora instead of the more standard 5mora list), but the following update was forgotten. If it's still downloadable i guess i can just check myself (it should still work in OU though, it might be a file type error)

FOLLOW UP: The current download is spliced from the CV voicebank samples, I think. What happened here? Alternatively, it really is the first ever VCV VB and is incredibly nonstandard and chopped up.

WOW thats so weird!! i thought i was actually going crazy bc i knew they sounded different but i literally could NOT find out why. i downloaded from wayback like you said, i just need to figure out about the oto thing. but this was super helpful regardless, thank you!!
