Has anyone ever tried contacting Aques about Defoko?

With the Adachi Rei English bank, I've been thinking about the possibility of a Defoko English bank using RVC. I know the main obstacle is that we'd need permission from Aques to use Defoko's voice, but has anyone ever actually gotten in contact with them to actually ask?

I've made an RVC model and have been tentatively poking at making an UTAU for her, but I really want to find out if I can share it with the community when I'm done. I found a link to their contact form, but it kept giving me an error upon submitting it. I also contacted their customer email both in English and translated Japanese, but I've gotten no response on any front.

Is this the whole problem, or has no one really pushed the question yet?

IIRC You're allowed to share anything you make with the software as long as you don't make money from it.

+ Aquestalk is practically a dead franchise, even if you made an UTAU with Shoujo 1 (Defoko's voice) they probably wouldn't even know or mind

Gotcha, fair enough! That's about what I thought, but every discussion I've seen about it had the "you have to ask first" caveat.

But, honestly, at this point if they *did* take issue, the fastest way to get contacted to confirm that probably would be the bank being made ahah

Yeah, I mean, just don't sell it lol. Selling UTAU is pretty... ehhhh in the first place. AquesTalk is for free download with all features and stuff, by the way, it just takes a while to find the download.

Yup, I actually already did that, got confused between the standalone and daw versions lol.

But yeah, plan was never to sell it, I'm just feeling super grateful to the community and want to do something for it, and I adore miss defoko

A defoko english bank would be awesome, plus her aquestalk has english phonemes :D
