(Help) Multipitch Voicebank?

FantasyXII

Momo's Minion
So, I just try to record a multipitch voicebank. I use Samura Tomi VB for the guide but the result is fail (also my male UTAU sound like a girl)

I try to record the pitch in A2, D3, A3, D4, and G4 (it's for male VB btw). Is that too many?? And if yes, which pitch that recommended to record male VB?? And I heard with this bipitch, tripitch, and ultrapitch thing? What exactly are they mean?? And what the best mutipitch method to record for a beginner like me?

And I see Samura Tomi can change to the right pitch by itself when sing?? How exactly she do that? Is it becuz of the config or sumthing??

I still have so many question but I guess I keep them for later. Maybe you guys can help me?? :o

You're over-complicating it. Don't think about them like this.

Everyone has a different voice. If I was to use Tomi's settings, I think I'd break.
Mine were D3, F3 and G3. D3 was the lowest I could go, G3 made for a nice transition into how I'd sing higher notes naturally. Then I found the switch between D3 and G3 was too sudden, so F3 was to smooth out the transition a little. This was just for a basic extension of range 3-pitch bank, not a full dynamic bank (with soft lows and screaming highs).

So. Sing a scale from as low as you can go to as high as you can. You should be able to pinpoint where your voice changes tone (I go into a head voice instead of a chest voice at a certain point, for example), and that should be where you place a pitch.

For the autoswitching, there's an inbuilt tool called the prefix map. You just select the pitches you want your bank to cover and add the prefix for it in the prefix box and press set (or ok). If you look at Tomi's you can see it it matches up with where she switches pitch.
