HELLO! So, that's a question I've had for a few months. Do I need any specific software to make a voicebank? Do I need to download an audio recorder for my voicebank? Please help!

First, you need utau and recording software, and optionally something like oremo to help you record things more easily and setparam to label things more easily
second, you'll need a reclist for whatever type of utau you wanna record
then, you'll need to record all samples needed for that reclist and either label them with setparam or utau
once you finish that, you have an utau voicebank

A reclist is a list of all the sounds you'd need to record for the voicebank, it changes depending if you want to record a cv, vcv, or cvvc voicebank and for the language of the vocal you want to record. And setparam is an audio labelling software meant to be used in otoing utau voicebanks

You may also choose to use RecStar and vLabeler if you would prefer more modern software or don't want to change your system locale!

What languages do you know? Many people in the English speaking community tend to start with japanese voicebanks, but if you know how to pronounce other languages with simple phonology, those can also be options for your first voicebank.
