I have no idea about some flag settings in UTAU....

Some not-so-good UTAU voicebanks can be used if a suitable flag setting is used on them. Well, I try to set the flag of g2 for my UTAU. Can anyone tell me what is the difference of flags with (+)/(-) and the flags without (+)/(-)? :/

g is the gender flag C:
g+ means deeper
g- means higher
so you wont have to go through the trouble of pitching in audacity/idk what when making your utau's genderbend

I know it xD...but what about the gender flag with +/- symbol (for example, g-2/g+2) and gender flag without +/- symbol (for example, g2)? I always see the gender flag without the +/- symbol while using any UST... ^^;

Some flags use +/-, which basically tells how much to add or subtract from the default. By not using a + or - it sets it at that number. For example, g+10 would add ten to the gender factor, while g10 would set it at 10, though I don't know if you can set the gender factor at a specific number, I think the +/- is mandatory. the Y flag has to be set at a specific number like Y0 or Y20.

Please.... instead of \"guessing\", provide a source:

http://utau.wikia.com/wiki/UTAU_User_Manual_-_7#7-3._Setting_the_Flags

Also... [g6] = [g+6]; same goes for the other flags.

I apologize.

It's ok. It's just that, when people make assumptions about how something works without knowing, there come missconceptions, and per se bad results.

There's a basic manual for UTAU inside the UTAU wiki; it MAY BE OUTDATED since a lot of stuff has changed, but most of it's practical. New users should give it a look so they can understand how the program works.

Again, I was not meant to sound hard, just direct and informative for others.

This is the nature of the help-section. We wanna help the OP, but if corrections are made then it can be a hard blow to a fellow help-er, a hard blow indeed )-__-) However, it is a nessecary action, and the hurt is a fault of...human nature )o__o)!!!

Anyways, excuse my irrelevance. OP, if you're just getting started, then this list I'm gonna give you is like INFORMATION OVERLOAD. But! if you're curious (later),  UTAforum is home to an exhaustive flags list, and an increasingly informative resampler directory. I'll say it again: if you're just getting started, then it'll be too much. However, when you become more comfortable working with flags, you might be glad to know of the existence of such a thing.

Oh, no, I'm not offended. I understand, I wouldn't want false information given to me.
