a little weird? yes! a bad way to make your utau? probably!
but I found myself in this doubt... I was making a soft voicebank and as I didn't know how I could record it, I took the vocaloid and put the singer who had soft and I believed it sounded like my voice and I ended up using him as a reference
so would that be wrong?

You shouldn't export audio samples from Vocaloid and use them directly in UTAU.

If you're listening to other singers and vocaloids as inspiration, then recording your own original samples with your own voice, that's okay.
