Is it illegal to port SynthV voicebanks to UTAU?

I know it sounds a bit stupid since the answer is probably yes, but I wanna see if it's only illegal if I distribute the voicebank

Check the end user license agreement for the specific voicebank. In general, you'll see something like this (excerpt from HXVOC'S EULA)

In essence, you cannot use data from SynthV or rendered audio from SynthV in UTAU or any other vocalsynth.

I don’t think you should port them into UTAU unless you just make it into a private experimental voicebank and not release it for other people to use.

The user license makes it pretty clear that you shouldn't be making the voicebank in the first place. Whether or not you actually do that is something that probably shouldn't be discussed in a public forum.

Yeah. Unfortunately some people don’t follow that rule though and they end up getting in trouble and wonder why they did.
