So, uh, hi! I'm new to UTAU, I know a bit about using Vocaloid V4 (and slightly V3), and I'm in a band intending to use UTAU to help out with vocals and eventually create my own UTAUloid.
I apparently have no idea what I'm doing and can't find any tutorials that actually explain anything a first time user needs to know, so I pretty much need to know everything haha. I don't suppose you know of some kind of easy to understand manual (easy enough that a child could understand) or an English UST generator that will generate the phonetics you need by typing in the lyrics?
And, in case you need more guidance or tips, I recommend checking out this playlist I linked below. I remember it being helpful when I was very new to UTAU. ^^
Also, I don't know of any English UST generators, so I think the best thing you could do is lookup the phonetics for the UTAUloid you're using. (Though, if you're using Teto's English voicebank, she does have a plugin that'll tell you the phonemes and give the option to insert them as notes, but I don't know how good of job it does since I don't use it very much.)
Hey, @partial , sorry to bother you! Since you're an advocate for UTAU English, do you by any chance know any plugins that might act as an English UST generator?
Kasane Teto English has a plugin that allows you to type English words and UTAU will make them into her phonetic system, X-SAMPA, but it doesn't retain the melody iirc. Here's a guide on how that works.
You can then use Iroiro2 to make X-SAMPA into VCCV.
English voicebank plugins are a little lacking, but this is what we have thus far.
