Is there any way to minimize the chatbox? I think it'd be a really useful thing to be able to collapse it like with parts of the forum.

totally not someplace I should say anything but I'm gonna butt in anyway
The forum uses TiagaChat, so it can't collapse and hide at the bottom or anything.
however, you can use the "popout" link to open in on a separate window.
