Some of my UTAUs wont make sound and their samples make an error noise

I downloaded a few voice banks and some of them will not work, I checked to see if they had their oto's and they did, they also had their character files in their voicebanks but they wont appear in UTAU, and their samples make an error noise. I've done tons of research but I haven't found a solution. (I'm fairly new to UTAU so sorry if this explanation didn't make a whole lot of sense)

A mod should honestly make a FAQ around here... And also how to ask for help to make it easier to ask for help and receive help
First thing: Did you install it properly? (2 pages because this is a long multi-step process to make it work)
Second: check the files again, make sure that the sound you're intending to play actually has the corresponding .wav file in the voicebank files
This is the limits of what I can gather with the (admittedly limited) information you have given.
