Strange sounding background vocals

I'm making a cover of Cute na Kanojo/Cute Girlfriend (syudou) with Hitsuboku Kumi, and using the UST created by suzurei. I finished mixing the main and harmonies, but when I got to the third track, which is like a half spoken/sung part of the song, it sounds really strange. I'm not sure how to describe it. It doesn't fit in with the other parts of the songs, and I've heard other covers with the same UST that don't sound like this. They sound more natural. I'm not sure if it's a problem with UTAU or post-editing, but I've tried a ton of things with post-editing and I can't get it to sound right. I've already fit the UST to the UTAU so I know that's not the problem.

Here (link) is the song so far, with the third track in so you can see what I'm talking about. Note that I took out all the post-edit effects.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is it maybe the tuning?
I looked around and I think this is suzurei's UST from the way you described it. The "HANASU" part doesn't have any tuning on it, so you have to tune that part yourself. You could also use vocalistener/vocalshifter idk what it's called and copy the pitch variations from a person (like yourself) saying the phrase onto the export.

I'm not sure..I tried some stuff with tuning, and it just made it more shaky. Actually, I saw the file name was called HANASU, which I looked up and it's for talkloids, does that have something to do with it?

is there modulation on the notes? That what happens to me when a ust is shaky

I fixed the modulation issue, thanks! I've tried some more tuning and it sounds a bit better but I'm still not sure why it sounds so odd...
