I'm repeatedly having an issue where when I launch utau an info box pops up that says "The preutterance of '* ‚ ' is longer than the overlap." and I'm unsure what this means but I can't hear the utaus speaking when I want them to so if anybody could help me out that'd be appricated!
This isn't an error message, just a minor warning for those who develop voicebanks in case they configured it that way unintentionally. It should not prevent you from using UTAU. You can hide this warning by clicking the "Do not show" checkbox in the bottom left corner.
If you can't hear any audio from UTAU, it's being caused by something else. Are you entering lyrics into notes correctly? (For example, CV Hiragana voicebanks require CV Hiragana lyrics.) Are you selecting the notes you want to play?
check the voicebank settings! :D if its an ust, you might have a - infront of the letters, so the ust cant play bc utau pulls from the voicebank itself. if you're inputting things, it might be because you're using the wrong aliases, again check voicebank! if not that, then you might be putting in romaji when the voicebank reads hiragana

check that and press the first option! look at the characters on the left side, and see if theres anything infront of them besdies the name you might have to redo the aliases-
