i'm thinking of doing an UTAU, but i have a few questions that im having a hard time finding.

1.-- can i download it onto my USB/flash drive and transfer it onto my computer (because my computer has no internet)?

2.-- Does UTAU need an internet access?

3.-- what are the best equipment to get while using UTAU when you want to use your own voice?

1) Do you mean the program? You obviously need internet to download it, but it should work, just be sure to save the installer instead of opening it.

2) No, but if you want voicebanks & USTs & such, you need internet to get those. UTAU literally comes with one voicebank (Defoko) & that's it.

3) This is such a broad question?? If you want to make your own UTAU, you really just need a decent microphone like a Snowball or a Yeti (or better). Maybe a pop filter for the mic, a very quiet room, & a whole lot of patience.

Oh, in addition to just getting the installer on your USB, if it's a computer where you don't have administrative rights to install programs you can just download the ZIP version of UTAU 2.76 which will sometimes try to install when you double click it open but isn't required so you can avoid it and just use UTAU wherever you want. The computer needs to let you run .exe files though. I also recommend grabbing the old res folder since 2.76 wasn't translated to English yet, but if you have the interface down-pat then it shouldn't be too much of a problem in mojibake or Japanese.

Well yeah, but the newest ones only come as installers, which you MUST run to get the actual UTAU program on your PC. However, the ZIP folder you could download for UTAU 2.76 bypasses that and just lets you use the program. You could try just copying the UTAU folder for the newer editions and using it on another computer like that, but I'm not sure if it'd work or if it wouldn't let you use it even after you deny the installer (which 2.76 still lets you use it when it does that on certain computers).
