utau-synth not opening/immediately crashing

hi! i just made an account here to post this thread.

i was a pretty experienced utau-synth user in the past (wayyy past, like 2014, before the 2019 version came out) and i got a new laptop last week and wanted to pick it up again. i downloaded the utau-synth application and did everything with the license as i'm used to (and the license worked fine). when i try to open the application past the license window, it crashes, and doesn't even give me an error message anymore, it just quits automatically. i'm not quite sure what to do, has anyone encountered this problem before/know how to fix it?

same, I don't have a single idea what to do. Im in need to use this application as my dell computer doesn't want to download stuff anymore. I'm really getting mad the fact that nobody has ran into this problem and fixed it.
