Voctro Labs is starting a new vocal synth project called REVIVOS!! The engine it uses is called VoSyn.
Its plan is to analyze a singer's voice & reproduce it with the same tone & expression. It seems like it's mostly for deceased singers' voices, as Voctro is also talking with record labels to get to use the voices of deceased singers. It doesn't seem like this is going to be released commercially, but there's no word on it yet.
Here's a demo by a jazz singer: http://voctrolabs.com/audio/revivosdemos/1-singing_synth_autumn_leves_mixdown.mp3

"Revivos researches the creation of a software that allows users to create songs in a computer and make them sound as if they were sang by a dead singer"
