What is better ?

I'd say both

Usually, I tend to prefer one over the other and vice-versa depending on my mood..

Moreover, they're complementary and can do something the other doesn't and such. Like, let's say you have a song requiring vocals which are powerful... Soft voices can be barely made powerful (if you exclude utagrowl)... But then again, if you have another song where you need whisper or soft voices, then it will be hard to tone them down without having to smother them ^^"'

(Honestly my very big favourite would be the middle/"neutral" one as it's easier to soften them or to power them up)

Neither kind of voice is "better." It depends on the song and the type of voice you're working with.

Softer voices...
- can be either HQ or LQ, but it largely depends on how breathy the voice is. Too much breath too close to the mic can make for engine noise that's not the result of white noise in the samples.
- can be good for songs that require ambient emotive vocals or choruses that don't require emphasis on enunciation.
- are harder to push to the front of a mix without clipping unless you lower the instrumental's volume.

Powerful vocals...
- can be HQ or LQ but it largely depends on the oto and mic. Recording with the mic too loud will result in clipping.
- good for rock songs and are easier to bring to the front of a mix without lowering the volume of the instrumental
- are harder to soften for ballads and softer emotive songs and difficult to blend with other vocals that aren't as powerful.

I think I prefer powerful voices since I listen to a lot of rock, but I also enjoy soft voices if the song is calmer and quieter

I do happen to like both. But I think it also depends on the type of song. Also, to me it kinda seems like more people would prefer stronger voices rather than softer ones considering the amount of Powerscale voice banks I tend to stumble on. But maybe that's just me.
