Your favorite UTAU Discord groups?

Hey! I'm enjoying the discords I'm currently on, but I did leave one for personal reasons so I want to know what all of your favorite discords are now. I want to see more active sides of the community

Currently my favorites are a very small one I started for a little friend group of mine that I want to keep private, and the St. Defoko's UTAU group. What are yours? owo

Also, if you have any problems with UTAU discord servers, without naming them it'd be interesting to talk about the issues they can have since I know there can be a lot, especially in my experience ;o;/

I'm the administrator of quite a few servers, including a couple UTAU-focused ones, so this might come off as advertising...

One of those is the previously mentioned St. Defoko's School of UTAU! It's a server specifically to support learning and growth, to serve as a welcoming place for newbies to start getting involved with UTAU and have discussions with experienced users. Visitors can access the resource library and several classroom channels for getting help with various topics (audio, visual, voicebanks, and tech support). All of the Teachers can also be DM'd for one-on-one UTAU help. By getting more involved, there's also channels for casual conversations, sharing lots of different types of work, and a dedicated channel for guaranteed feedback on what you're working on. The server community has also started over 20 optional clubs for even more specific topics.

Another server I run is The Utooters Black Supermarket, which has been around for many years (ever since the Skype era!) and has a mixture of looser moderation and a tight-knit family feeling. People may already recognize TUBS for its websites, which include the UTAU Terms of Use generator and the entire Arpasing website. It's also home to the organization ULCER, a group of reclist writers that offer mutual support (in my case, OTO commission discounts!). The discussions tend to be a bit more technically-minded, so it's more suited to more advanced UTAU users, people involved in the development of other vocalsynths, or music producers.

Definitely St. Defoko's and TUBS. I am in others too, buuuut i don't really like them that much, as they're either rather inactive or for other different, reasons.

can i ask what kind of issues you might have with other servers aside from inactivity? i think it's an interesting topic to tackle :O

personally my main issue is nobody really encourages each other or comments on each other's work because there's this etiquette not to push it up in the chat, so like everyone spams their work and then feels bad about nobody looking at it despite not looking at others themselves? but that's my take on it & i don't have that issue at all with the discords i'm on right now (especially not st. defoko's which i'm suuuper thankful for)

Same reason tbh. Also, in some servers, its just way too...how do I say this...kind of way too kind. There are people that just don't give you any criticism even if something is like super bad. And if you do it you're just a meanie in they're opinion sooooo...

oof i totally get that, some places just are kind of bad about giving criticism rip. thankfully i don't think i've been on a server like that personally though i definitely know they're out there

My personal favourite is the UTAU-R-US server (mostly cuz its the only utau discord server I've ever joined lol). Its actually quite active and everyone is friendly!
