Did something evil today (held my friend at gunpoint and made him record an UTAU voicebank while he's at my house for the weekend)

that's not good!!
your friend should have been held at gunpoint for a different reason

(this entire comment is a joke i promise i don't hold ppl at gunpoint)
i mostly finished working on one of the voice colors otos (the shout/yell one for my japanese cvvc voice color voicebank) and this is what it sounds like!! i think it sounds quite good :D

(reminder: im definitely not done with this voicebank, so if you think in some parts it sounds wrong, i can fix it easily)
I just realized that when training Megumi and Michiru's pitch models I switched their datasets... well, guess this is my life now lol

It does. My mic was too quiet, so it's kinda hard to oto, and the samples have shouty, badly voiced (no acting) pronunciation

I'm interested to hear it, however it's fine if you don't want to share it with me. I'm extremely curious of knowing what act 1 voicebanks of UTAUs sound like. My first CV voicebank from August also has a shouty tone because I recorded under a table and tryharded Japanese pronunciation.

My oldest bank's name was kenji and oh boy was it a train wreck. I fixed some samples, though. I'm also working on a newer (but still old) "Tsunami CVVC" bank
Thinking of creating a new fanloid as a counterpart to my other one, this one based off of my book's antagonist rather than its protagonist
Hhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!
I am making a patchwork staccato utaite cover. I think I said
It's not mixed yet. But it will be. Just...later. Idk when though :P
Tip: Moresampler's weird noise on unvoiced consonants can be minimized by setting the Velocity to 200 in OpenUTAU. The downside of this is that it sounds like ShortKing's tuning, which isn't really a downside.

Do you know if you can have Moresampler alias a VCV voicebank in Hiragana without overwriting the OTO configurations I set for my voicebank? I'm trying to avoid issues like this, such as having to set velocity to 200 to use my voicebank properly.

There’s probably some regex you can do for that- I’d imagine you could ‘split’ your oto file and Moresampler’s in half, then combine them. Notepad++ may be your best bet.

I'm already using a text editor to alias my files. I set my computer's locale and language to Japanese, and now I can at least read .wav files in Japanese, meaning I probably should be fine.
