    I know this is an old comment, but just in case anyone stumbles across it like I have:
    DV uses sample based synthesis while V1 used a very primitive AI synthesis (hence its vastly different sound compared to V2), and DV was also not developed by Yamaha, but from a startup Chinese company, and I doubt Yamaha would be that comfortable in just dropping the source code of it's engine like that.
