  • thought it'd be fun to try to make an utau by drawing their waveforms, but i'm now realizing how strange waveforms behave in the first place

that would be weird-i'm worried that the vb would sound bad
i feel like i need a visual guide for labelling diffsinger data bc what

there's a guide on it (if you've seen it already then i'll shut up)
but basically in vLabeler you label the end of the phoneme
    so like in "aishite"
    it'd be
    "a" "i" "sh" "i" "t" "e"
and you'd place "a" right before the i sound starts, and so on. I can label a sample of my unfinished DiffSinger and screenshot it
engrished the hell out of hanakuma chifuyu lite just to realize the song sounds better with eleanor anyways

they started recording one a few years ago and never finished it, so i have to frankenstein those few samples with other voice recordings. definitely not actually a new method, but certainly not a common nor ideal one
we do have a deal that they'll do a full reclist once i finish some covers for them, i just haven't gotten around to it yet

Reminds me of how certain English reclists such as MEL English or various formats of ArpaSING are based off of English sentences.
i've been here for almost 4 years and never realized how little i've talked until i just now got the award for posting 30 messages
do you want to be part of the team for my new vocal synth? You can do UI or voice providing (since you don't know how to code, as you've said)
you can try to do coding but if you don't want to no worries

i might be interested in voice providing when i have more time for it (though i'd have to work on my voice a little first lol) but i don't think i'd be of much use with anything else

i'm sorry but i don't </3 it's on my list of things to learn, but i have absolutely zero experience with deepvocal right now

i didn't realize how hard it was to tune teto until now

I acknowledge the fact that part of her draw is her roboticness, but why not appeal to both fans of that and fans of more polished voicebanks? Tei and Ruko both easily outpace her in most scenarios and yet are far less popular than Teto and received nowhere near the amount of fame she received. And now with Teto receiving commercial voicebanks, I doubt any newly recorded utau voicebanks are coming anytime soon.
