  • What UTAU do you think is most deserving of a new commercial voicebank?
Yokune Ruko and Sukone Tei are the most obvious to me, but I feel as if the release of a SynthV voicebank for Mine Laru is the most desirable for me.

@SaKe Why wouldn't we count ACE studio? It's a commercial engine you have to pay for. And if we do count Ritsu's voicevox, then Haruka Nana already has a commercial synth since she has a voicevox too.

ACE Studio is a paid software but it's free to develop for, since it's partially aimed at singers who would want to clone their voice and create harmonies. It has built-in voicebanks but, unless I'm missing something, Ritsu was user-made.
I completely forgot about Nana's Voicevox, sorry for that.

No, Ritsu's was not user made. She was added to the engine before that feature was even added. And it's also not free to develop for, as you need to have a subscription to develop for it. This is also why I specified a voicebank for Laru, as he also has an official voicebank on ACE.
I find it a little odd that Hatsune Miku never received releases on things like Voiceroid/AIVoice or just generally other engines. Why does Internet Co release more add on products for their vocals and not Crypton? If Miku released on any other engines, then she would have certainly been the #1 on there too.

I was saying that they wouldn't want a release on voiceroid or aivoice because it'd sound too realistic. Sorry if I misread or misphrased anything

My guess is that they wouldn’t think it would be profitable enough. Voiceroid development was ridiculously expensive, almost as much as Vocaloid, and during the time Cevio was coming out, Crypton was dead-focused on Vocaloid development. It is a bit odd, though, that they haven’t really considered any other synths besides Piapro Studio since their split with Yamaha.

@Kierteiyu Ah, I suppose that might be an issue. although I wouldn't say either of them are all that realistic, I suppose that they might sound a little too natural talk wise. Apologies if I seemed rude.
Thinking of creating a new fanloid as a counterpart to my other one, this one based off of my book's antagonist rather than its protagonist
I wonder if I could get someone to write a song tied to my book. I do have some friends who make originals after all.

Music production is a substantial amount of work, but if you can make it into a more balanced collaboration, it might be more fair. Like if you were to write the lyrics, make the vocals, and record some of the instruments
Random fun facts: my channel was originally going to be a mine laru, shiki rowen, and sukone tei channel, but i later changed it to be a mine laru, shachikoba hachiya, and kogane oyupo channel, before now making it mine laru, shachikoba hachiya, and arujine sarasa channel.
Tetoris is still my most viewed cover, and so I'm remaking it. This time, however, Imma make it a chorus of several of my favorite vocals.
What's your vocal synth dream? Mine is to have a group dedicated to covers with someone on tuning and ust creation, me on mixing, someone on art, and someone on editing.

My vocal synth dream is to showcase other peoples' obscure UTAUs in hopes that they will enjoy having their voicebank be used, and create reclists that will allow people to make their UTAUs sing fluently in their native language/dialect.

You need to have a lot of money to develop a voicebank for vocaloid or cevio, likely several thousand dollars. Voicevox might be more possible, since I haven't heard about it costing money to develop for it.

The average cost for developing a Vocaloid is 50’000 dollars… probably the same for CeVIO. I can dream, though (*´ω`*)
I hope Miku V6 drops soon. I want to buy it.

I have an idea for an enitolliuG cover I finished, which is where Shachikoba steals Laru's money and has a nap, dreaming about things he wants and having a thought bubble above his head for certain lyrics ("Honeycomb, love, stardom" is the lyric that inspired this)
    > Be me
    > Wanna make album with friend
    > Announce you're making album
    > Plan falls through because of life
    > 2 years pass
    > Voice provider of one of the utaus announced to be in it likes one of the announcement
    > ****, now we gotta do it
